Community Meetings

Public involvement is key to the success of this study. It is your individual comments, along with input from interest groups, businesses, stakeholders and local, regional, state and federal agencies over the course of this analysis that will help shape transportation decisions that impact your future. We have developed a draft public involvement plan using a variety of communication tools to ensure diverse public input.

There will be many opportunities for public involvement in the Alternatives Analysis process. Three rounds of community workshops have already taken place and a final round is anticipated to occur in Spring 2012. Each round of workshops is designed to share information and solicit input and feedback from residents, businesses, and other stakeholders along the corridor.

Round Three Workshops – Completed

The third round of community meetings took place in summer 2011 and provided the public with an opportunity to learn about progress on the project alternatives.

Round Two Workshops – Completed

The second round of community meetings took place in late fall 2010 and provided the public with an opportunity to review and comment on the initial screening of transit alternatives. A summary of input collected at the community meetings was completed in January 2011.

Round One Workshops – Completed

The first round of community meetings took place in early summer 2010 and provided the public with an opportunity to identify community needs, such as access to jobs, education, and recreation, and to solicit ideas on how transit service on this corridor might address those needs. A summary of input collected at the community meetings was completed in July 2010.
